What We Do...

Marines are always faithful!

Our time on active duty may have passed, but we are not sitting by, idly watching the world go by.  We are actively engaged in our community, helping other veterans, children, and each other.  See below for a small sampling of what we do.

Color Guard

We offer Color Guard services to multiple events, such as military ceremonies, sports venues, and special events.  Please contact our Color Guard Coordinator for more information

Check our Color Guard page for more.

Toys For Tots

The Geiger Detachment is the primary coordinator for the Clay County Toys For Tots program.

Golf

Attention Golfers!  Want to hit the links and help veterans at the same time?  Join us every November for our annual golf tournament!

Want more?  Click here.

Community Outreach

We love our local community!  Look for us to help out wherever Marines are needed.

Breakfast!

Join "Grumpy's Grunts" every Monday at 0700 at Grumpy's Restaurant on Kingsley Avenue (near the railroad tracks) for a scrumptious breakfast and great fellowship with Marines from every era and rank!

Pistol Tournament

Anyone in need of a little "gunpowder aromatherapy"? The annual Freedom Pistol Match happens around the July 4th weekend.  Bring your A-Game!

Trips

Sometimes a visit to Parris Island or Quantico -- or maybe even 8th and I -- would be in order.

Fundraising

You'll find us "out and about" in the community, raising funds and awareness for veterans in need, like this pic of members at a local gun show.

The Culver's Share Night was a smashing success!

      Wreaths Across America

12/19/2020 -- The Marine Corps League was well represented at the Holly Hill Memorial Garden today. Commandant Ansil Lewis, Senior Vice Commandant Dawn Salmons, Marine Larry Minter, Junior Pasts Commandant Barry Brown, and Junior Vice Commandant Don Okuley stood as the Color Guard during the Wreaths Across America Ceremony here in Clay County.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the League took part in laying wreaths at the headstones of veterans who have reported to their final duty station.
